In a study of data collected from high schools across the United States, College Board has indicated that students with several passing AP exam scores tend to double major in college. According to the report, 4,330 students out of 52,551 (8%) with one AP exam score of greater than 3, chose to double major. Students with two and three AP exam scores of greater than 3 are seen to have double majored slightly more (3,503 students out of 34,483 or 10% with two AP exams, 3,117 out of 25,568 or 12% with three AP exams). We see that the highest proportion of students to double major are those with a score of 4 or more on qualifying AP exams; 16% (9,916 out of 60,724).
